Zach was originally suppose to go 3rd session with Ashlyn. Since it is only a one week session there were not many older boys going 3rd session. Ty let us know that there was still room in 4th session which was a 2 week session. He did not want us to have to go to East Texas 3 weeks in a row. I told him we did not mind if it would be better for him.
He had the most fun he has ever had at camp. He was in the older group of guys, so they were the leaders. Spending 2 weeks together really brought the group close together. He reconnected with a bunch of the group and made some new connections. He said that they hated to leave knowing it would be their last camp sesssion together as campers.
He came home a different person than he left. It was such a great break for him mentally, physically and spiritually. Camp Deer Run is a magically place and God really reveals Himself through the outdoors, worship and praise. I love that he had such a great time. It was something that he really needed. I am soo proud of our son!
