Our church does some really special things for Seniors and their parents. To honor the moms of the Seniors, they have a tea. It is soo special! My mom came down from Oklahoma to go with me. All of the ladies bring food, someone shares a passage, scripture or story from the bible that relates to being a mom.
Nancy Parker shared the story of Hanna and Samuel and how Hanna promised God that she would give her child to Him if He would give her a child. She said it was much like the moms letting their seniors go off to college. We have prepared them all of their lives now it was time for them to spread their wings. I thought it was amazing how it all related.
The moms were given journals to use while their kids are gone. It was such a special time, I felt soo loved and blessed.
